Paolo Stincone
Postdoctoral Researcher

Paolo joined the Functional Metabolomics Lab in 2021 as a postdoctoral researcher. He worked as PhD student in cellular and molecular biology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Before this, Paolo achieved his master's degree in biology at the University of Palermo and at the University of La Laguna. He also got his bachelor's degree in environmental science at the University of Palermo.

Stilianos Papadopoulos-Lambidis
Master's Student

Stilianos joined the functional metabolomics for his master project in 2021, which he conducts jointly under the co-supervision of Dr. Arnaud Kengmo Tchoupa in the department of infection biology. Stilianos studies biochemistry at the University of Tübingen where he also obtained his bachelor before.

Daniel Petras
Principal Investigator

Daniel started the Functional Metabolomics Lab as an independent Junior Research Group in 2021. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the field of metabolomics at the University of California San Diego and as a PhD student in biochemistry at the Technical University Berlin. Before this, Daniel studied biotechnology at the University of Applied Science in Darmstadt and at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

Albert Hernandez
Research Engineer

Albert joined the Functional Metabolomics Lab as a research engineer in 2021 after he graduated from the University of California San Diego with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Albert works on the development of mass spectrometry interfaces for real-time analysis and hyphenated applications.
