We’re pretty stoked to share that our recent paper made it onto the cover of Science.
Huge congratulations to Shane, Paolo, Abzer, and everyone involved in this project.
The study explores how invasive red algae reshape the exo-metabolome in coastal environments and how these chemical changes influence the survival of kelp. Using our non-targeted metabolomics platform in combination with and kelp survival assays, we tracked how the molecular fingerprint of reef water shifts with algal overgrowth and how that, in turn, impacts kelp settlement. It’s a great example of how subtle chemical signals in the environment can drive major ecological consequences. If you want to read more, check out the full paper here:
